Rick Cordell is a professional photographer, associate lecturer at The University of the Arts London and a sessional photography tutor at Idea Store Learning, Tower Hamlets.

Rick has spent much of his working career as a portrait photographer. He worked for Campaign Magazine through the glorious eighties and early nineties, where he was highly influential in the creation of the powerful and stylish black and white portraits of advertising industry personalities produced through this era. Rick also worked with many other business titles through this period.

He embraced corporate photography in the nineteen nineties and through the turn of the millennia, working with many of London’s top design groups and designers, photographing commissions locally, national and internationally for many of the top FUTSE 100 companies.

In 2004 he was invited to teach at LCC as an associate lecturer and so started a career in teaching.

He lectured on the BA (Hon) Magazine Publishing course for ten years during which time, he was also Course Director of the ABC Diploma in Print Management (Print Media) for two years till its closure.

Currently he teaches InDesign Short Courses for Artscom, (LCC professional training) and is a sessional photography tutor at Idea Store Learning, teaching traditional black and white printing and processing as well as portrait photography courses.
